Oral and maxillofacial surgery can be divided into soft tissue and hard tissue operations. Surgical extractions, particularly wisdom tooth extraction, are among the most common procedures in oral and maxillofacial surgery. When a wisdom tooth cannot erupt properly and causes symptoms such as severe pain or abscess, surgical extraction is often necessary. Although the thought of this procedure may cause fear and anxiety, with the right surgical approach and anesthesia, it can be easily managed.
